We collect information you provide when creating an account (username, email address, and hashed password). During gameplay we collect character data, in-game actions, chat messages, and technical information such as IP address and device type for security purposes.
2. How We Use Your Information
Your data is used to operate and improve the game, enforce our Terms of Service, prevent fraud and cheating, send you important account notifications, and provide customer support. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
3. Data Storage & Security
All account data is stored on secured servers. Passwords are stored as bcrypt hashes — we never store plaintext passwords. JWT tokens are stored in httpOnly cookies to prevent client-side access. We use TLS/HTTPS for all communications.
4. Cookies
We use essential cookies only: tr_access (session token, httpOnly, 15 minutes), tr_refresh (refresh token, httpOnly, 30 days), and tr_user (username for UI display, 30 days). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
5. Data Retention
Active account data is retained for the lifetime of your account. If you request account deletion, your personal data will be removed within 30 days. Anonymised gameplay statistics may be retained for service improvement.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. To request data export or account deletion, contact us at privacy@timereckoning.com. We will respond within 30 days.
7. Children's Privacy
Time & Reckoning is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us immediately.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of significant changes via email. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
